The Stellar Award

The Wilbur Allain STELLAR AWARD was named after Wilbur Louis Allain, Sr., a revered leader in our community who epitomized dedication to clinical excellence at Iberia Medical Center.

 

The award aims to recognize and celebrate the outstanding efforts of our clinical staff and direct patient caregivers. Individuals selected for the STELLAR AWARD consistently demonstrate excellence in patient care and embody the highest standards of professionalism, compassion and expertise.

Mr. Wilbur Allain was appointed as a charter member of the Board of Commissioners of Iberia Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 in 1951, and participated in the planning, design construction and operations of Iberia General Hospital for the succeeding 23 years, serving as Chairman of the Board for 13 of those years.
