IBERIA MEDICAL CENTER WELCOMES DR. ARDEN LAGRONE

Iberia Medical and the Physician Practice Network welcome Dr. Arden LaGrone, Family Medicine physician, to the medical community. Dr. LaGrone joins Drs. Joe Proctor, Keidra Welch-Spencer, and Jacques Villien, and Tabitha Underwood, Nurse Practitioner, in practice at their Iberia Medical Center North Campus office at 520 N. Lewis Street, Suite 203 and 204.

Dr. LaGrone earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. She completed her residency at Ochsner University Hospital and Clinics in Lafayette, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. LaGrone is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. LaGrone to our medical staff and to our community. Dr. LaGrone brings valuable experience and a commitment to offering compassionate, comprehensive care for patients and families,” states Dionne Viator, CEO.

Dr. LaGrone is scheduled to begin seeing patients on October 1, and the practice is currently accepting appointments and scheduling new patients.

IMC Again Awarded Full Accreditation

Iberia Medical Center has once again, earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

Iberia Medical Center recently underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with Hospital standards spanning several areas including emergency management, patient safety, environment of care, infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.

Reaccreditation by The Joint Commission shows our commitment to going beyond just knowing the standards. It shows we’ve incorporated these standards into our everyday practices that place quality care and safety as our priorities.”

The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
