Prenatal Vitamins: Why They Matter

Prenatal vitamins are daily supplements containing essential vitamins and minerals such as folic acid, iron and calcium. They are designed to support a healthy pregnancy, aid fetal development and prevent birth defects.

Iberia Medical Center recently welcomed Dr. Damian J. Delhomme, OB/GYN, to the medical staff. Dr. Delhomme joins Dr. Jodie Gwin and Dr. Clay Maraist in practice at the Iberia Medical Center Main Campus.


A native of Lafayette, Dr. Delhomme received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Louisiana State University. Professional memberships include the Louisiana Medical Society and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.


Dr. Delhomme was most recently in practice at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, Louisiana.

Practice address is 2309 E. Main Street, Suite 200, New Iberia.
