State-of-the-Art Technology Funded by IMC Foundation

Maternal Child Services at Iberia Medical Center is the recipient of a new state-of-the-art incubator.  The GE Giraffe OmniBed is a dual function infant warmer/incubator. The OmniBed combines two traditional pieces of equipment into one, allowing conversion from an open bed warmer to incubator in seconds with the touch of a button. Staff can quickly convert from an open bed to incubator with a push of a button which provides a barrier for the baby, yet allows the mother to remain close to her infant.

Funding for the new incubator was made possible by the Iberia Medical Center Foundation, a non-profit 501-C3 organization whose mission is to raise funds to support and grow hospital programs focused on excellence in patient care and to make capital improvements at Iberia Medical Center.
