Tiffanie has been a nurse for 7.5 years, all of which she has spent on the IMC Maternal-Child Unit. Starting her career at 22 years old, she quickly found her passion in labor and delivery.
“There is no greater reward than witnessing a baby take its first breath and seeing the tears of joy as families welcome a new life into the world,” Tiffanie shares.
One memory that has stayed with her is caring for a young mother who thanked Tiffanie after delivery for never leaving her side. Alone and afraid, the patient said Tiffanie’s presence made her feel safe. “That meant a lot to me,” Tiffanie shares, “because I see my patients as my family.”
She says the close-knit size of the IMC unit makes it especially meaningful, allowing nurses to truly get to know their patients and support them throughout their entire stay. From coworkers to patients and families, everyone at IMC feels like family.
