Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department has a program designed to
meet the needs of patients with a variety of cardiovascular histories,
including heart attack, coronary bypass surgery, stable angina and
coronary artery disease.
In addition, the program addresses the needs
of patients with lung diseases such as COPD, chronic bronchitis,
emphysema, asthma and chronic lung disease.
The program provides
medically supervised and monitored exercise therapy, nutritional
counseling, comprehensive patient education, psychological support and
health enhancement.
The Rehab Center
The Rehab Center provides complete outpatient rehabilitation services,
including physical, occupational and speech therapies, treating patients
of all ages and many different physical medicine diagnoses. The staff
also provides care throughout all patient care areas of the hospital.
The
staff is comprised of two occupational therapists, a speech therapist,
three physical therapists, an office coordinator and three rehab
technicians.
The Rehab Center is located on the west side of the Iberia Medical Center campus.
