Lab
Our lab is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and we perform a high volume of routine and specialized tests. We
provide testing for our inpatients, the emergency room, our clinics,
various home health agencies, nursing homes, our partner long term acute
care (LTAC) unit, and many physicians’ offices in the area.
The lab has
certified, licensed, and experienced medical technologists, lab
technicians, and phlebotomists. Most employees have been with our lab
for many years and are devoted to good customer service. Results are
auto-faxed immediately upon completion to your doctor.
Medical Imaging
Medical Imaging is a multi-service department including x-ray,
ultrasound, CT, nuclear medicine, & mammography. MRI is also
available on the campus.
Our radiologists are on-site every day, and we have licensed
technologists working around the clock. The Medical Imaging department
services inpatients, outpatients, the emergency room, the LTAC (rehab)
unit, and our clinics. Our employees are dedicated to customer service
and work hard to bring professionalism, quality and compassion to
patient care.
Our Medical Imaging department has superlative, state-of-the-art
equipment, including a 64-slice CT scanner to look for arterial
blockages with a non-invasive procedure, a PACS system, where all images
are digital (computerized) and can be accessed at your physician's
office with a few keystrokes – that means no more bulky film processing
and handling. We have 3 x-ray rooms, plus one in the ER. Our techs also
spend a great deal of time in surgery. We are leaders in Acadiana for
having "digital” mammography to better detect breast cancer.
